Using DOI Lookup for Publications

Save time when adding publications by letting DOI lookup auto-fill the details for you.

What DOI Lookup Does

When you enter a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) while adding a publication, the system automatically fetches and fills in:

  • Title
  • Authors
  • Journal or conference name
  • Year of publication
  • Abstract

You can review and edit any of the auto-filled fields before saving.

Supported Sources

DOI lookup pulls data from two sources:

  • Crossref — the primary registry for DOIs, covering most journals and conferences
  • arXiv — for preprints with arXiv identifiers

How to Use It

  1. Go to the Publications section in your dashboard
  2. Click Add to create a new publication
  3. Enter the DOI (e.g., 10.1234/example.2024)
  4. The fields will be filled automatically
  5. Review the data and save
