Using DOI Lookup for Publications
Save time when adding publications by letting DOI lookup auto-fill the details for you.
What DOI Lookup Does
When you enter a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) while adding a publication, the system automatically fetches and fills in:
- Title
- Authors
- Journal or conference name
- Year of publication
- Abstract
You can review and edit any of the auto-filled fields before saving.
Supported Sources
DOI lookup pulls data from two sources:
- Crossref — the primary registry for DOIs, covering most journals and conferences
- arXiv — for preprints with arXiv identifiers
How to Use It
- Go to the Publications section in your dashboard
- Click Add to create a new publication
- Enter the DOI (e.g.,
10.1234/example.2024) - The fields will be filled automatically
- Review the data and save
